Winnipeg police arrested four youths for their alleged involvement in a car jacking that stemmed from another online-date-gone-bad incident on Monday.
Police said a 24-year-old man made plans to meet a woman after corresponding on an online dating site and arranged to meet in the 300-block of Boyd Avenue. to the area of Salter Street and Mountain Avenue and were told the victim was still in his vehicle when the female approached.
Once they got to the second bar things seemed to be looking up.
He even went in for the kiss and, to her surprise, he was a really good kisser. His other friend showed up and kept trying to get her date to go outside to talk to him during the middle of their pool game.
She then told him that they were on a date and he left her without saying anything and she was over it.
The worst part was that he didn’t see anything wrong with what he did.
She is a huge sports fan and wanted to watch her beloved Giants play.
Winnipeg police were eventually able to catch up with the vehicle downtown and engaged in a chase that ended in the area of Broadway and Edmonton Avenue when the suspects fled on foot.
All four were apprehended after a short foot chase.
